Naughty Not Nice Blog Hop (For 18+ ONLY)

Closed.

A BIG Thank you to Seduced by the Book for Organizing this Blog Hop!

Dear readers, I will giving away a copy of Grey's Lady. Information on how to win is located at the bottom of this post.

Book one in the Carte Blanche Series

Seeking sexual excitement and conquest, poor but beautiful Beth seduces wealthy merchant prince Grey Sexton, only to find herself the pursued as he seeks to own her body and soul.

Flouting the moral standards of Jeffersonian America, temptress Beth McConnell lets no man touch her heart. Her motto is love them once and leave them burning.

But when she boldly seduces Grey Sexton, a self-controlled merchant prince from New York, she finds herself too fascinated by his ice-over-fire nature to stay away. His possessive determination to own her, body and soul, threatens to expose her secret erotic life to public shame.

But Beth will only surrender her love to a man she can trust. And Grey's materialistic approach to relationships leaves her little reason to believe he can ever give her what she truly needs.

For these two cynical yet lonely people, can deep sexual intimacy work a miracle and lead to the opening of their hearts?

A Uniquely Set American Regency.

A strong-minded, spirited seductress about to meet her match.

A stubborn, determined merchant prince about to encounter a force he cannot control.

A very different Cinderella story.

An erotic fairy-tale of Philadelphia, the Athens of America in 1812.

Beth's motto was to love them once and leave them burning. Grey vowed to possess her body and soul.

Who will win their battle of wills?

Reviews for Grey's Lady:

FAN-FUCKIN-TASTIC HISTORICAL READ!

YES! YES! YES! Natasha Blackthorne, it is authors like you that make historical reads worth reading. I can think of only one other historical read that I have gave a 5 star rating to and that was Diana Gabaldin. You have captured and implemented the substance that makes the characters come alive and interesting with their emotions leaving the reader excited and feeling the emotions themselves. The story was so exciting that I was totally glued to the page eagerly eating up each sentence and just couldn’t put the book down...Now I will be anxiously waiting for the next book to see where Grey and Beth’s relationship takes them. Excellent Read! ~
"There is nothing more wonderful than a good erotic historical and Natasha Blackthorne's Grey's Lady really delivers...And the sex...well...steamy..." ~ Andrea of "A Chick Who Reads"
"Grey's Lady is a delicious novella full of energy and strong characters...I recommend Grey's if you're looking for a hot historical book to read in a short time – but be aware that you'll have time to read the full title, cause you won't be able to stop! What I can certainly say is: Natasha Blackthorne is definitely an author to watch." ~ Nat of "Reading Romances"

"She wants a good time. He wants a good time. Then they have each other and sparks not only fly...they scorch everything in sight...I really enjoyed Grey. He's terse at times, coddling at others, but he's always got a flair with what he does. He's sexy and I couldn't get enough reading about him." ~ Wendi Zwaduk of "Romance to Make Your Heart Race".

"My heart got all fluttery with the sexual tension between the two of them. I'm gonna give Natasha an extra award for this book, because it has everything in it, romance, passion and so much more...it's GOOD!!!!" ~ Sue of Satin's Bookish Corner.

"Anyone 18+ looking for a HOT read and strong characters really should pick up a copy of Grey's Lady." ~ Skyla of Sinfully Tasty Reads.

"I kept expecting my fingers to be scorched by the pages... Not only was this book incredibly erotic, it also was interestingly enough, romantic. ..This one’s a page turner ladies and definitely leaves you wanting to be Grey’s Lady!!!!" ~ Nikki of Close Encounters With The Night Kind.

"Author Natasha Blackthorne gives us a uniquely set American Regency that singes your fingers with temptesous heat!" ~ Cerise DeLand (Author of Lady Starling’s Stockings) Read The Entire Review Click Here.

"A very emotional read...I look forward to more of Beth and Grey’s dance toward a happily ever after together." ~ Chris of Night Owl Reviews click here.

"I thoroughly enjoyed this. The tone and language felt authentic for the time, but it certainly didn’t dampen the heat between the characters!...a seriously sexy read and one I’d recommend to others." ~ Lucy Felthouse of Erotica 4 All.

"This book caught my attention from the very first page and kept it for the entire 65 pages. I cannot wait to read the next book in the Carte Blanche series. Natasha Blackthorne is an author to watch." ~ Grace of The Romance Reviews

"Smoking hot from the start, the first exchange between the main characters is 'My goodness…it’s so hard, isn’t it?'…Those looking for a quick read full of
passion and undeniable attraction are sure to enjoy this steamy novella." ~

  2. What makes a historical romance hero sexy? Well for me it depend on what kind of historical romance the hero is featured in.

Say for example if the book is a regency historical romance, then I love it if the hero has at least some sense of morals.

I just got done reading a book where the hero had no problem putting a family out of their home during the holidays, thankfully he turned out to be a better person in the end but for a few chapters after that I didn't like him.

I usually prefer if the hero has at least a heart of some kind, even if he's not gentle all the time.

  3. A hero needs to be strong but not afraid to show his caring side to the ones he loves. He can be a little naughty but the heroine tames his heart. Doesn't matter if he has a title or is the lowliest of workers, he has dignity and a will to make himself a better person. And of course he knows his way around a woman and puts her pleasure first before his.

  5. A historical hero is sexy to me when he doesn't treat women like they are second class citizens. Also when they know how to laugh at themselves and do it often.
I've been trying to get a hold of a copy of this for a while. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  6. A historical hero to me is one who knows what his desired lady needs, but can still tease her and get her to be true to her needs as well. He has to be caring and daring at the same time.

Sounds like a real deadly book. I'd love a chance to add to my collection.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  14. What makes a sexy historical Romance Hero is that he oozes sex appeal. His gaze can melt you and he walks like a panther towards his prey. Very smouldering.

    Thanks for this giveaway!

  15. I think it's the time period that makes historical romance heros sexy! There is something about the fact that we have to use our imaginations about how it was back then that probably makes us make them way sexier than they probably were!:-)

  16. Romantic and caring is what makes a sexy historical hero for me.
