Coming Soon: HER MYSTERY DUKE, Erotic Regency, Light BDSM, Rubenesque BBW

Hello Everyone,

I am very pleased to share the blurb for HER MYSTERY DUKE. The work is currently in the hands of my editor and I expect to post an excerpt within the next week.

Jeanne Darling grew up coping with her father’s increasing illness and insanity. Left alone by his death and plunged into poverty, she did what she had to do to survive. Still reeling from the overwhelming physical and emotional demands her father’s care required, she values her peace above all. She doesn’t need anyone or anything except her writing and the safety of her rented garret chamber. Now she’s about to rise above her past and create financial independence for herself. What she does not need is the mysterious and possibly insane stranger who walks into the coffee shop and into her life.

David Somerville, the Duke of Hartley, has known pain and betrayal from the people closest to him. Born to privilege, power and wealth, and filled with idealistic vision for humane change, he gives all of himself to his political career. He keeps his life circumspectly under control. But one day, all the carefully arranged threads of his life unravel and his life intersects with Jeanne’s in a way that challenges his view of everything he thinks he knows.

Leagues apart in society, they can only have one possible future, that of protector and mistress. And neither wants to risk deeper connection. However, their overwhelming attraction and resulting sexual games provide them with pleasures neither of them has ever known. Will their sensual journey lead them to discover a more emotionally profound side to domination and submission? Or will their seemingly insurmountable differences and passionate personal goals drive them apart?

Reader Warning: HER MYSTERY DUKE is a work of historical erotic romance. It is not meant to be a guide to or an accurate portrayal of modern BDSM lifestyles or practices. This story contains graphic descriptions of sexual acts and frank sexual language. It also contains light BDSM, anal play, sexual toys, cunnilingus, fellatio and spanking. Please be aware, there are no scenes of ménage or sexual sharing in this story.

  1. Hi Natasha!

I love all your books but I must admit one of the reasons I'm looking forward to reading Her Mystery Duke isn't just because you make a story come to life AND that it's a historical erotic romance but also because the heroine is obviously named after me!

Okay, probably not but at least she didn't end up with the name my parents originally picked which was Eugenia since in my father's eyes I was suppose to finally be a boy after my mother had only birthed girls before me and my father wanted the family name carried on.

Fortunately for him it finally happened when we name my younger son after him so in a way his dream came true.

I'm looking forward to reading Her Mystery Duke and seeing if David makes your Jeanne's wishes come true as well!

    1. Hello Jeanne,

Thank you so much for the lovely compliments. That's a wonderful story about your family. I am glad to hear that your father's dream came true.

Picking character names can be a tricky thing for me. It will totally effect how that character appears to me (hair color, facial features, etc.) and how they act. It is always better if I examine the list of names that were used in the Georgian Era and then let one name speak to me above the others. That's how the names for the characters in HER MYSTERY DUKE were selected.

I hope you're having a great weekend and thank you so much for visiting my blog. :)

    2. Thanks Natasha!

I visit often and learn the most interesting things from you! I must admit I often don't post but I couldn't resist this one! By the way my father's whole name was Eugene Ellsworth Ryon so it could have been worse he could have made Ellsworth my middle name instead of Hastings which was bad enough!
